Music in Animation Microlectures

The short (ca. 5 minute) lectures available here are designed for people of any background to learn a little bit more about the way music works in animated films. I do not own or hold copyright on the films I discuss or the screenshots I use and am presenting them under the guise of fair use, as I am not receiving any money for these and am presenting them for educational use. Indeed, they are created with the intention of using them as supplemental material for film music, music appreciation, film history, or animation history courses. As such, I have included a list of suggested readings and videos to go with each lecture. Feel free to use these lectures with the proviso that you give me credit for the lecture (under general Creative Commons principles.)

If you have any comments or suggestions for other lectures, please contact me using this link.
